The temple town is all set for Brahmotsavam celebrations to begin from Wednesday. Over 2 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple town during the 13-day festivities.
Bhadrachalam: The temple town is all set for Brahmotsavam celebrations to begin from Wednesday. Over 2 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple town during the 13-day festivities.
All arrangements are being made. While temple is decorated with electric lamps, welcome arches and pandals have been erected at various places in the town. Over three lakh laddus are being prepared for the occasion. In fact, 100 quintals of rice is being used to prepare the Thalambralu.
On the occasion of Ugadi on Wednesday, Neem prasadam will be distributed to people at 6 am and Abhishekam to the deities will be performed.
Panchanga Sravanam is arranged towards late in the evening. Afterwards, a Tiruveedhi Seva will be performed to the deities.

On account of Brahmotsavam, all paid services like Kalyanam and others are suspended from March 29 to April 11, temple Executive Officer T Ramesh Babu said, adding that new Paryanka Seva (Pavalimpu Seva) of the deities would commence from April 20.
District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao reviewed arrangements for the celebrations and expedited infrastructure development works.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with his spouse will present pearls to Lord Sitaramachandraswamy for the celestial wedding on Sri Rama Navami day. Governor ESL Narasimhan along with his spouse will take part in the coronation ceremony.
Meanwhile, Tummala Nageswara Rao called upon the officials to work with coordination to make the celebrations a grand success. Over two lakh devotees, not only from Telugu states but also from neighbouring states are expected to visit the temple town.
