Yendlapalli: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been special attention to provide the best health services to poor and middleclass at all government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals.
The Minister along with regional passport officer B Vishnuvardan Reddy, District Collector Surendra Mohan laid foundation stone for the construction of model health sub-centre at Yendlapalli of Suryapet mandal on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said CM KCR efforts to develop infrastructure in villages with the aid of NRIs have been giving positive results in the State.
He informed that government-deputed IFS official Dr B Vishnuvardan Reddy was acting as coordnator betwen NRIs and respective District Collectors. Gunda Satyanaryana (76), who settled in USA, had attended NRI Divas held at Bengaluru and reponded positively to CM’s plea to develop native villages.
On January 21, Satyanaryana met the District Collector and announced Rs 20 lakh donation to develop the infrastructure in his native village Yendlapalli. During their meeting , the Collector informed to him that a health sub-centre in the village was running in a rented building and it needs own building.
Satyanaryana responded positively and requested the Collector to use his 20 lakh contribution for the constrution of permanent building. Whereas majority of villagers of Yendlavalli came forward to donate required land for the construction of the health sub centre, after discussions donor Lingaiah's 545 sq.yards was selected for the construction of the building.
The Minister informed that construction of the building would completed within two months. On the occasion, the Minister felicitated villager Lingaiah and appreciated Gunda Satyanaryana for his contribtion to the village development. Several villagers particpated in the programme.
