Professional Hip Pop Dancer and Instructor Ken Neil shares, “I'm a dance instructor, professionally into street styles that originated in the US. My main styles are Hip Hop, House Dance, Breaking and other street genres. I represent Hyderabad in the national level underground Hip Hop jams since 2015.
As the Hip Hop scene in Hyderabad is growing, now the jams are happening in and around the city. Apart from this the other styles which are mostly liked by a lot of people in Hyderabad are the Urban choreography-based style like Break, Popping, Locking and Raggaeton, Belly dancing and Bollywood.
Sharing her opinion on Western Dance Neha Rajabzade, a student from Diwakar’s Gotta Dance Academy said, “I am a dancer, MC (host) for events and also work for YouTube channel named Hindi Action songs. I am learning Belly Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Free style.
The academy where I learn dance from also teaches how to choreograph, teach others, and assist the main choreographer. I practice for around two hours during the mornings and 3 hours in evening. I also attend workshops that are conducted in the city where we get to meet fellow dancers.”
“Talking about the craze in Hyderabad, I'm really happy to see the dance culture grow in our city. There are a lot of styles that interests an individual and I am really happy to see the growth and about adopting this as a profession,” she adds.

It is because of dance that I have made my career in the industry. It has definitely changed my life, and will continue to sty strong with me throughout! Everytime I dance, I turn into a better version of me! Dancing is like dreaming with your feet, so I am just dancing through all the good that comes my way! And dancing away all the negativity that comes my way too, with a positive approach to everything! The dancer I look upto most in the industry is Prabhudeva sir! He has always inspired me!

“Dance changed my entire life! If I hadn't got into dancing, god knows what I would be doing right now. As a child, I had a choice between karate and dance, but eventually I chose dance. And slowly it just became a part of me! Earlier the dancing facilities were not that nice, but now the platform for dance here has really improved! So I am proud to be a dancer!
It is also because of dance, which I got into acting! Dance is the most important aspect of my life, and always will be! In the dance industry, I really look upto and admire Prabhu Deva sir, Hrithik Roshan and Ganesh Hegde.”
