People soak in Sankranti fervour

Nalgonda: The people of Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts celebrated Bhogi on a grand note on Sunday. Houses were decorated with flowers and colorful rangolis were drawn by the women folk. Children and youth were seen busy flying kites.

Meanwhile, till afternoon, the RTC bus bays in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts were packed with people who were heading towards their native villages to celebrate the harvest festival. In view of rush, the RTC has arranged special buses on selected routes to provide hassle-free journey to passengers.

Further, the national highway-65 which has been witnessing heaving rush for the last couple of days wore a deserted look on Sunday evening.
