Time to deliver, MR KCR

The TRS led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, swept the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections on Friday and is all set to form the first government in the new state of Telangana. The party won 63 Assembly and 11 Lok Sabha seats. Following the election results, we interacted with a few people on their reaction on the election results and what they were expecting from the new chief minister of Telangana.

“KCR is someone who understands the state of Telangana, and has fought for its independency. So, I am really sure he knows people will question him if he does not do anything for the city's betterment. I am sure he will develop the city and the State with equal enthusiasm”

“KCR gained votes merely on sympathy of Telangana locals.TRS got a political hype just because of its movements for a separate statehood; the party has no stable background reflecting any development to any region. A more experienced person like Chandrababu Naidu, having a solid history of development would be better for the newly formed state”

“A party that could not respect the State’s most known tourist attraction and destroyed every statue there cannot be trusted upon the whole state. I am referring to the time when they destroyed the statues on tank bund. It was disastrous. Well, I do not think that KCR has all it takes to be the CM of a State that is newly formed. This State was in doldrums for almost the last two years. I feel a more experienced person to regain the State's economy”

“I think his so called "struggle" for the separate Telangana state was for his political selfishness. He wouldn’t think or take any step regarding the State's development. The development in this new state can only be possible with an experienced leader, not new comers. Though KCR is an experienced leader, I don't think he has what it takes to run a State”.
