Applications invited from students for awards

Hyderabad: Methodist Engineering College, Abids, has invited applications from engineering and management students in Telangana for conferring ‘Best Engineering Student of Telangana’ & ‘Budding Manager of Telangana’ awards. Addressing newspersons here on Friday, M Krishna Rao, college secretary, said awards were constituted to bring out inner talent and to encourage engineering and management students from the State. He added that the award will be presented at a programme to be held in the college premises on February 28.

Rao informed that the applications can be downloaded from www.methodistenggcollege.com and for further information students can also contact on 040- 24753445 or email at [email protected]. The students should submit the filled-in application along with other relevant documents attested by the concerned college principal by February 10. Eminent professors and scientists will scrutinise the applications to select the winners. The winners will be presented with cash prize of Rs 25,000 and commendation certificates.

Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and other cabinet ministers would be invited for the programme. College principal Giridhar asked the students from all parts of the state to send their entries for papers, posters, quiz and innovation events to be held on this occasion and last date to send is February 10. The winners in these events will be felicitated on February 28. Methodist Engineering College director Venkateswar, Rajendra Prasad Reddy, Nageswar and faculty members were present.
