G Krishna Podagatlapalli, a senior research scholar at Advance Centre for Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), University of Hyderabad (UoH) under the guidance of Dr Soma Venugopal Rao has been selected for the best poster award in Frontiers in Nano Science, Technology and Application (FiNSTA) held at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Anantapur.

G Krishna PodagatlapalliHyderabad: G Krishna Podagatlapalli, a senior research scholar at Advance Centre for Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), University of Hyderabad (UoH) under the guidance of Dr Soma Venugopal Rao has been selected for the best poster award in Frontiers in Nano Science, Technology and Application (FiNSTA) held at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Anantapur. He received award for his research paper entitled, "Ag nanomaterials fabricated through laser ablation in aqueous media using an axicon".

Krishna Podagatlapalli, joined ACRHEM in 2009 under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr Soma Venugopal Rao and has recently submitted his thesis entitled ‘Ultrafast laser ablation of metals in liquids for explosives detection using SERS and development of CARS experiments’ and is now waiting for defence.

Earlier he has bagged two such awards (as first author) of excellence in Frontiers In Physics (FIP-2012) held at University of Hyderabad, Indo-US International Workshop on Nanosensor Science and Technology (IWNST-2013) held at NIST, Berhampur, Odisha and two more awards as a co-author (HEMCE-2011 held at TBRL, Chandigarh; Ultrafast theme meeting-2014 held at Manipal University). He has authored more than thirteen research articles that have been published in various International journals.
