Yashoda Group of Hospitals conducted the seventh batch of ‘Young Doctors Camp’ that concluded across its centres on Monday. The four-day camp was held in Secunderabad, Somajiguda and Malakpet in which about 2,000 applicants participated. A seclect 200 of the students were taken around the medical facilities at the hospitals.

“This camp is meant for students who have passed ninth standard. It was designed to provide a real-life experience of being a doctor and help both parents and their children make a well-informed career decision and practically make them understand what it is really like to be in this field,” said Dr GS Rao, Managing Director of Yashoda Group of Hospitals.

“The camp ended on a cheerful note with the closing ceremony, where the students were awarded certificates for successfully completing the camp. I am sure we could enhance the understanding of these boys and girls about the advantages, challenges and excitement of being a doctor,” said Dr Rao.

“This camp has provided me an opportunity to have first-hand experience at leading medical centers. These four days have enlightened me about the medical field and strengthened the resolve to strive hard to join Nobel Medicine profession,” said Anurag from Vizag.

Sudheep Jadav, who came from Mumbai said, "Being a member of ‘Young Doctors Camp’ and walking through the wards and medical felicities in Yashoda Hospitals. I felt like I was going through the preview of my dream life. Now my goal is not only becoming a doctor but an Organ Transplant Surgeon."

Another student, C Kaveri who hailed from Bangalore said, "This camp has given me a close view of the profession I intend to take up. Gave insights to grave situation of heart diseases in our country and in the world. With this I have resolved to be an Intervention cardiologist.”
