The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) officials led by Brig M D Upadhyay, president, SCB visited several wards in the cantonment to scout for vacant land to construct as dump yard. In the last board meeting, it was decided that the board members would decide on a site within 20 days.

In the last board meeting, it was decided that the board members would decide on a site within 20 days.
Presently, the Mahatma Gandhi community hall at Trimulgherry is being used as a transit point for collection of garbage which is later shifted to Jawahar Nagar dump yard.
During the survey, the president and CEO, SCB also inspected the lands in Ward No 1 and approved a few lands for developmental activities. Jakkula Maheshwar Reddy, member Ward No 1 said, “We are extremely happy that the approvals have come through for road widening, development of a playground and for construction of a temple. All three developments would help residents a great deal.”
For a long time, the road widening at New Bowenpally X Roads was pending due to several reasons but now the allotment of land of GLR Sy No 569 of one acre for a bus stop and road widening to avoid road accidents has come through. Works would also be taken up at Srilatha Gardens S Curve.
The president of the Cantonment Board allotted six acres of GLR Sy. No. 536 for a playground and also gave a green signal for the construction of Hanuman Temple, at Pedda Thokatta near Pulla Reddy Temple.
