Hyderabad: IKEA made this Valentine’s Day even more special for ten lucky couples through fun activities organized at its experiential centre, the IKEA Hej Home. The couples were chosen based on a first come, first serve basis from a pool of IKEA Family members in Hyderabad.
The event, ‘From IKEA with LOVE!’, provided select couples the opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a novel way. The fun activities ranged from setting up table décor, to personalising heart-shaped cookies, participating in rapid fire quiz, indulging in photo sessions at a photo booth with fairy light frames and romantic setup.
They were also treated to Swedish delicacies such aschicken and veggie balls served with mashed potato and green peas, lingonberry jam, cream sauce, choco-brownie and lingonberry fizz.
“Going out to a romantic dinner is passé. But today, we could show our love for our partner in our own individualistic style with some inspiration from IKEA. The beautiful home-like setting made our day absolutely special,” said one of the couples, Nishitha and Ram Charan.
“The right kind of setting is very important to create special moments at your home – be it your living room, the kitchen, the children’s room or any other part of your homes. With a motto of ‘Make Everyday Brighter’ we will be rolling out more workshops and activities for our valued IKEA Family members. Our workshops are aimed to help the members visualize better and more efficient ways of going about their daily lives,” said Neha Jindal, Country Ikea Family Manager.
