Shamshabad: As a part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, Novotel Hyderabad Airport organized a Special informative session on Child Trafficking with Dr Sunita Krishnan, Social activist & co founder of Prajwala.
The event was attended by the staff and management of Novotel Hyderabad Airport along with the people from GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and the 10th standard girls students from Shamshabad girls high school.
In this session Dr Sunita Krishnan shared her life experiences and views about women empowerment, child trafficking in India and globally. The discussion was engaging and participants were surprised to learn about the alarming rise of child trafficking in India. Participants gave suggestions about steps to be taken by Government and the need for social awareness about the issue.
Sunita Krishnan, Social activist & co founder of Prajwala strongly advocated for stren action by the government and agencies in stopping the menace and empowering young children. She was seen spending her entire afternoon with a group of girls.Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Khubchandani, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Airport said “Today’s session with Dr. Sunita Krishnan was an eye opener and gave us insights about the epidemic of child trafficking in India.
She shared her views & experiences about child trafficking in India and globally and the issues with the overall system in India. We thank all the participants & Dr. Sunita Krishnan for attending the event”
