Siddipet: City Police Commissioner Joel Davis has directed police officials to beef up security for the distribution of Rytu Bandhu pass books and input subsidy among the farmers from May 10 to 18.

Addressing ACPs, Additional CPs, SIs and CIs, he said that daily the distribution of the passbooks and subsidy takes place at least in four or five villages under each police station.

He asked them to hold grama Sabha with the participation of the farmers coordination committees and village police officers and take stringent steps to provide foolproof security at government schools and other places where the passbooks and input subsidy is distributed.

He told them to ensure that no untoward incident takes place anywhere. Right from the homeguard to DCP all police officials should be on bandobust duty, he said. He advised t hem to coordinate with the tahsildars and provide bandobust services. He wanted Rytu Coordination Committee members and familiar youth in the village should be appointed as volunteers.

He directed the officials to videograph the activities. All amenities to be provided to farmers like drinking water upon consulting with the MRO. Since the farmers directly go to banks along with the cheques, he wanted the police officials to ensure adequate security at banks to maintain queuelines.
He asked the policemen to sensitise the farmers that the cheques are valid for three months.

He directed the policemen to provide adequate security to the VIPs as many VIPs are going to take part in the event. Additional DCP Babu Rao, Prabhakar, Narasimha Reddy and Anwar Hussain, ACPs Rameshwar and Mahender, CIs and SIs took part in the meeting.
