Not wearing helmets, drink driving major causes for deaths in accidents: Bhagawat
In an attempt to create awareness on policing to children, Rachakonda police launched ‘Summer Camp for children’ here at Goteti Function Hall on Thursday. Police commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat along with traffic additional commissioner Anil Kumar, Rachakonda DCP Ramesh Naidu, additional DCP Divya Charan Rao inaugurated the camp.
LB Nagar: In an attempt to create awareness on policing to children, Rachakonda police launched ‘Summer Camp for children’ here at Goteti Function Hall on Thursday. Police commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat along with traffic additional commissioner Anil Kumar, Rachakonda DCP Ramesh Naidu, additional DCP Divya Charan Rao inaugurated the camp.
The commissioner said that the camp would conduct awareness programmes on She teams, Cyber-crimes and traffic rules and regulations for three days. The schedule of the camp is on the first day i.e Thursday awareness on traffic, on Friday awareness on She teams and on the third day Saturday awareness on Cyber crime.
The commissioner called upon the children to know the traffic rules. Traffic additional commissioner Anil Kumar created awareness on traffic to the camp participants. When the commissioner asked about the age limit to attain driving license, the children replied ‘18 years’ in one voice.
Bhagawat explained the figures on number of accidents in the country, challans and punishment for traffic violations, importance of wearing helmet and seat belt, bad effects of drunken driving.
