Vikarabad: Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Wednesday distributed new clothes among 10,000 Muslim youth on account of Ramzan celebrations and gave Rs 17 lakh to district administration for organising Ramzan Dawat-e-Iftar.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the st ate government would earmarks crores of rupees for the welfare of the Muslims and other minorities. He said that the Chief Minister has been striving for the development of all sections of society in the spirit of secularism.
Earlier, he along with other Muslims took part in the prayers as part of the Dawat-e-Iftar. MLA Sanjeeva Rao and Yadaiah and District Collector Omar Jaleel and others participated.
