Chintala, Mynampalli visit rain-affected Bharat Nagar

Moulali: Malkajgiri MLA Chintala Kanaka Reddy and MLC Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao visited rain-affected areas in Bharath Nagar on Thursday. The public representatives assured to solve civic problems caused by rain.

They also assured to solve drainage related problems within two months. But some of the local residents described their visit as a mere eye-wash. They also registered their protest on the main road. One of the residents Kiran alleged that Wednesday’s rain caused overflow of drainage water that entered into their houses.

He alleged that the decade old drainage problem has not been solved yet though they submitted many memorandums to the legislators and officials. Another resident Krishna Murthy lamented that essential commodities like rice and pulses stored in the house got damaged by the drainage water.

One of the protesters Rama expressed anguished over drain water entering into the houses. They were forced to send their children to relative’s residence. They demanded that the visited public representatives fulfill their assurances at the earliest.
