Hyderabad: Activists of various differently-abled organisations under the aegis of ‘Divyangula Hakkula Porata Samiti (DHPS) on Tuesday staged a dharna here demanding immediate suspension of the department’s in charge director/commissioner Shailaja. Members of DHPS, VSF, TVHSS, VHV, VNSS, NPRDE India blamed her for the department lagging behind in ensuring welfare of the differently-abled and accused her of resorting to irregularities while discharging duties in the last seven years.
They accused her of absenteeism and corrupt practices with the help of a junior assistant.
