GHMC stages silent rally to create awareness on cleanliness

Gachibowli: To make Hyderabad a cleanest city in the country, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been organising a number of programmes to aware citizens.
The GHMC officials, along with the members of different NGO’s and organisations of the city, conducted silent protests near prominent hotels at west zone to convince and motivate them for onsite composting, here on Wednesday. The officials have taken this issue seriously and have been posting images on social media to encourage hoteliers to composting at the near places.
The Zonal Commissioner Hari Chandana said, “Our city produces nearly 4500 mt of wastage daily. Let's all contribute to reduce it.” The new project for better utilisation of wet with which biogas can be produced to cater our needs in the near future, she added.
