Road works worth crores go for a toss
As the roads have been damaged due to continuous rains, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation GHMC has taken up Road Restoration works on warfooting basis
Hyderabad: As the roads have been damaged due to continuous rains, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has taken up Road Restoration works on war-footing basis. The CC and white topping works on footpaths measuring 48,952 mts an amount of Rs 916.78 lakh has been sanctioned in Uppal, Santoshnagar, Falaknuma, Jubilee Hills, Yousufguda, Qutbullapur, Secunderabad, Begumpet circles and the ongoing will be completed by October 31.
The works pertaining to footpaths in BT Roads sanctioned under Periodical Preventive Maintenance for which an amount of Rs.1503.64 lakh has been sanctioned for 70,970 kms in Uppal, Malakpet, Santoshnagar, Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Falaknuma, Rajendranagar Circles and the works will be completed by October 15.
The footpaths under Periodical Preventive Maintenance works in GHMC 157.53 length in kms with an amount of Rs. 29.64 crore and in Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Ltd., around 152.23 length in kms. Roads with an amount of Rs. 58.07 crore altogether 309.76 kms and Rs. 87.71 crore has been sanctioned for the above said works.
