First-ever Srimathi Telangana beauty pageant
For the first time in the history of the region, a beauty pageant for married women with the focus on Telangana culture is being planned under the aegis of Kaira Entertainment The brainchild behind the concept Lakshmi Jagadeshwari said, The idea is showcase Telangana culture and its traditions The focus is not on being slim and beautiful but being beautiful from inside and being proud of ones
For the first time in the history of the region, a beauty pageant for married women with the focus on Telangana culture is being planned under the aegis of Kaira Entertainment. The brainchild behind the concept Lakshmi Jagadeshwari said, “The idea is showcase Telangana culture and its traditions. The focus is not on being slim and beautiful but being beautiful from inside and being proud of one’s culture.”
Auditions have started in several districts and three candidates from each district would be chosen. The auditions have been completed in Kothagudem, Adilabad, Medak and Karimnagar and in the coming weeks, the auditions are scheduled in Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Warangal. The finale would be held in the month of October in Hyderabad. In all 93 candidates would be chosen, from which again there would be filtering and in the grand finale 23 would vie for top honours.
