CM for timely supply of Hastham packets

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Saturday directed the officials of Civil Supplies Department to ensure timely supply of the nine commodities under the "Amma Hastham" scheme. He also wanted them to the see that the logo packets were good in quality and handled with proper care. The Chief Minister reviewed "Amma Hastham" implementation with the officials and Ministers at Camp Office. He said that "Amma Hastham" is the most important welfare programme touching every household of 2.25 crore families and 7.5 crore population through 44,000 fair price shops in the State. He also directed the Chief Secretary P K Mohanty to ask the District Collectors to send previous month's distribution status and present stock position at every fair price shop. The distribution position must be monitored online on a daily basis by Joint Collectors and Civil Supplies officials jointly. He asked the Chief Secretary to hold a video conference with Collectors, Joint Collectors and Civil Supplies department officials on the subject. He directed that stock position in the fair price shops may be displayed at gram panchayat office and Tahsildar's office on a regular basis. He asked the joint collectors and the RDOs to visit fair price shops regularly and send the monthly report to Government.
