Hyderabad: Any attempts to infringe upon the rights of Telangana people would not be tolerated, warned, T JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram here on Thursday. He advised the Seemandhra leaders to co-operate instead of posing obstructions to Telangana process. The Telangana unit of Progressive Recognized Teachers Union (PRTU) conducted a day-long ‘Shanti Deeksha’ at Indira Park.
TRS MLC Sudhaker Reddy, TPRTU president Harshawardhan Reddy and a large number of teachers took part.
Speaking on the occasion, the T JAC chief criticised Seemandhra leaders for addressing letters one after other to the Centre. Instead, they should strive for resolving the present situation, he felt. Giving details about ‘Mulki Martyrs Week’, Kodandaram informed that the programme would kick off in Hyderabad on August 1. Peace rallies and meetings to pay tributes to martyrs would later be held in Adilabad (September 2), Nizamabad (September 3), Karimnagar (September 4), Warangal (September 5) and Mahabubnagar (September 6).
