T leaders come heavily against police ‘excesses’

Hyderabad: “We will not accept Hyderabad as joint capital even for ten days”, said T JAC spokesperson and Telangana Mala Mahanadu president, Addanki Dayakar. Reacting on the developments of the day, he voiced his concern over the safety of the Telangana people in the state capital. He came down heavily against the police excesses.

TRS MLA T Harish Rao pointed out that APNGOs ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting was a government-sponsored programme since special buses and trains were arranged for the convenience of Seemandhra public. The Chief Minister and the DGP had extended full support to the unified state stir, he said.

Harish Rao flayed the police excesses at Nizam College and Osmania University. He was also critical of the police for allowing Seemandhra personalities like Ghazal Srinivas, Dr Mitra, Chalasani Srinivas, Karem Shivaji and others against High Court directions, which clearly stated that only government employees should be allowed for the meeting.

Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy (BJP) questioned the intentions of APNGOs in holding ‘Save AP’ meeting. Actually, Telangana community should organise a ‘Save Telangana’ meeting since Seemandhra politicians and industrialists looted everything from land, resources including jobs for the last five decades here, he felt.
