Taking out rallies and staging agitations, Telangana students protested against the 'Save Andhra Pradesh' meeting organised by APNGOs at Lal Bahadur Stadium on Saturday. Students of Osmania University, English and Foreign Languages (EFLU) and University of Hyderabad took out rallies. Tension prevailed when Osmania students attempted to proceed towards LB Stadium by removing the barricades erected at the NCC gate. Police lobbed teargas shells after the students resorted to stone-pelting on the campus.

Hyderabad: Taking out rallies and staging agitations, Telangana students protested against the 'Save Andhra Pradesh' meeting organised by APNGOs at Lal Bahadur Stadium on Saturday. Students of Osmania University, English and Foreign Languages (EFLU) and University of Hyderabad took out rallies. Tension prevailed when Osmania students attempted to proceed towards LB Stadium by removing the barricades erected at the NCC gate. Police lobbed teargas shells after the students resorted to stone-pelting on the campus.
Meanwhile, students of EFLU burned effigy of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy condemning his pro-united Andhra Pradesh stance. They were not allowed to move further from the main gate of the campus. Later, they returned to the campus after raising slogans against Chief Minister, DGP and APNGO leader Ashok Babu.
At the same, members of Telangana Students Association (TSA) at the University of Hyderabad observed bandh on their campus. All the shops and campus school remained closed. The members burned the effigy of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Hyderabad-Mumbai National Highway for giving the permission to organise the APNGOs meeting in LB Stadium.
