Hyderabad: TRS Chief KCR has reportedly hinted at the inevitability of President’s rule to facilitate bifurcation of the state. Interacting with the OU student JAC leaders who called on him on Saturday, he said the Centre might prefer to retain important departments such as law and order and revenue to maintain its control over Hyderabad. The note on Telangana, which was being prepared accordingly, could be tabled in the Union Cabinet before October 5.

He called upon the students for tightening their belts for yet another bout of confrontation with the government to oppose it. The delegation of OU students called on him to seek his participation in the rally sought to be organized by them in October to mount pressure on the Centre for speeding up the process for creating the new state. The TRS chief advised the students to remain patient till the T-Note was presented to the Union Cabinet. He said that the Note being prepared by the Home Ministry might contain clauses that could be unacceptable to the people of Telangana.

Even though the people of Telangana accepted the decision to continue the City as common capital for both the regions for 10 years, the Centre might prefer to have its sway over the city so as to placate the Seemandhra leaders. The government could even bring in legislation to facilitate this. He had asked the students to go ahead with their programmes only after going through the cabinet Note. If the note was Note was any way different from the aspirations of the Telanmgana people, it would be inevitable for the students, employees and the political JAC to come together for renewing the fight once again. The student leaders had reportedly pledged all their support to him for the cause of Telangana.
