National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been actively involved for the last four days in organising special camps in the villages of Tellapur, Indranagar and Ambedkar Nagar. On Friday as part of their campaign, the volunteers organised a pollution free environment programme in the villages.

Hyderabad: National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of University of Hyderabad (UoH) have been actively involved for the last four days in organising special camps in the villages of Tellapur, Indranagar and Ambedkar Nagar. On Friday as part of their campaign, the volunteers organised a pollution free environment programme in the villages.

The NSS volunteers planted more than a 100 trees in the Tellapur and Indranagar. They also went to government schools in both the villages and helped the school children plant trees and stressed on the importance of trees and the preservation of the environment. The NSS coordinator of UoH, Dr V Srinivasa Rao, the sarpanch and deputy sarpanch of the village also participated in the programme along with the school teachers and students.
