Campaigning picks up a feverish pace

Campaigning for the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) elections hit a feverish pitch on Tuesday, two days before the final date for canvassing, which is 6 pm on January 8. The election is scheduled on January 11. With all the campaigning, the SCB roads were choc a bloc, as traffic came to a standstill at Laxminagar, Picket, Karkhana and Bowenpally. Commuters had to take alternate routes to reach their destinations.

Some areas wore a festive look, as a few events were organised by candidates like cultural dances and blaring music to attract a large crowd. The remaining two days is expected to see hectic campaigning as prominent ministers from Telangana are expected to vigorously campaign for their party candidates.
