The world’s oldest person, 117, is a daughter of a Kimono maker of Japan says it doesn’t seem like such a long time and hopes for longer innings.

Misao Okawa, the daughter of a kimono maker, says she still hoped to see brighter side of life even from her wheel chair but through Youtube and Iphone her grand daughters had presented on her 117th birthday as a birth day gift.

Appropriately, she was wearing a pink kimono decorated with cherry blossom prints made at a factory of her son who has continued in the family vocation.

Okawa, born in Osaka on March 5, 1898, was recognized as the world’s oldest person by Guinness World Records in 2013. "She has slowed down with low hearing but very good in health and also eats well. She can also laugh," says a spokesman of her Osaka nursing home.

Okawa married Yukio in 1919, and they had three children two daughters and a son. She now has four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1931.
