Khaleda Zia greets PM Hasina on Pahela Baishakh

Dhaka : Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia today greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.

On behalf of the BNP chief, a four-member delegation led by Abul Khair Bhuiyan handed over the greeting card to the AL chief's Dhanmondi office.

BNP office secretary Abdul Latif Joney said that they handed over the card, signed by party chief Khaleda Zia, to Awami League office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap.

"Our party chief also greets Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina wishing her good health and long life," Daily Star quoted Joney as saying.

The nation will celebrate Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the Bangla calendar, on April 14 amid traditional fanfare.
