Minister faces ire of women

Kadapa: Minister for Minorities Ahmadullah faced the ire of women during 'Indiramma Kalalu � Neetiki Nijam' programme held at SC, ST colonies in Old Kadapa on Monday. Women of Devuni Kadapa questioned the Minister that nobody is heeding to the problems of their colonies despite making several rounds to government offices and officials. They complained to the Minister that officials are not paying attention to their request about allotment of house lands but at the same time keeping quite when certain people have encroached upon the government land beside their colony. They requested the Minister to direct the officials to solve their problems immediately. Responding to their request, the Minister said the Congress government is taking up several welfare programmes for the benefit of SCs and STs and introduced SC & ST sub-plan to secure the benefits will reach them. Indiramma Kalalu is a part of the programme, he added. Tahsildar Srinivasulu, Municipal Commissioner D John Samson, Congress leaders Lakshi Reddy and others participated in the programme.
