Several students critically injured

Gravel tipper rams school bus Kadapa: The driver of a school bus and five students were critical when a tipper that was carrying gravel rammed a school bus in which 30 students were travelling.A According to reports, another 10 students received grave injuries and 15 others received minor injuries. Bus driver Chenna Reddy and other four students were rushed to Kadapa RIMS as their condition was reported to be critical.A fifth student, identified as Narasimha Reddy, was rushed to Tirupati as doctors told that his condition was critical. The incident took place near Nagayapalle village of Pendlimarri mandal in Kadapa district on Saturday morning, when the school bus of Sri Rajiv School of Ellatur village was coming via Nagayapalle. The locals got furious and put the tipper on fire. Immediately after getting the information, SI Javed rushed to the spot and shifted the injured school children to Kadapa RIMS. A case was registered and inquiry was started. Mandal Tahsildar Subramanyam, RIMS Director Sidhappa Gourav, Superintendent Ramcharan, and RMO Venkata Ratnam were personally supervising the condition of children, who are under treatment at RIMS. District Educational Officer Anjaiah and Additional Joint Collector Madhusudhan visited the children andenquired with the doctors about their condition. Also, Telugu Desam leader Putha Narasimha Reddy, YSRCP leader and former mayor Ravindranath Reddy and BC Association State CRI Subba Reddy consoled the injured students.
