Karimnagar: Peddapally MP G Vivek alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and DGP Dinesh Reddy were acting in a biased manner by taking a soft stand on the agitators who are taking part in the Samaikyandhra movement. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he lambasted the Chief Minister for not taking up any projects in the Telangana region.

He reminded that the DGP suppressed the people, who are espousing the cause of Telangana during the movement with the directive from the Chief Minister. But now the scenario was different as the DGP, who was supposed to maintain law and order, was not taking action on those agitators who are indulging in vandalism. They desecrated the statues of former Prime Ministers Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, but the Chief Minister and DGP were keeping mum, he lamented. The Chief Minister allegedly made the police to file false cases on the agitators during the Telangana movement, but now the protesters of Samaikyandhra were spared and no cases were filed against them despite indulging in violence.

He pointed out that the Chief Minister never bothered about national highways and railway lines in the Telangana region. “I worked hard for the revival of Ramagundam Fertlizers Factory, but the Chief Minister was taking credit for it,” he alleged.
The police did not give permission to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao when he wanted to launch indefinite fast, but now why they granted permission to YSR Congress Party honorary president Vijayamma, he questioned. He demanded the police to cancel the permission immediately.

YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was a staunch supporter of Samaikyandhra as it was revealed when he held a placard in Parliament. And now, he proved again that he was against Telangana as his MLAs and mother and he himself tendered resignations in support of Samaikyandhra. When the media asked about rumours about going back to the Congress fold, he said that he won’t change the party, but will stay with the TRS and fight till Telangana becomes a reality along with TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. Karimangar MLA Gangula Kamalakar and other TRS leaders were present.
