Bhongir: E-banking facility (card swiping) would be introduced in all liquor shops across the State. This was disclosed here on Wednesday by Excise Minister Teegalla Padma Rao, while speaking to press persons after visiting the local Abkari station.

He said efforts to introduce E-banking facility were on. The Minister asserted that permissions for liquor shops on the national highways, near schools and temples/shrines, wouldn’t be issued henceforth.

He stated department staff would a get a feather in their hat if they become successful in eradicating 100 per cent production of illicit liquor (Gudumba).
