Nalgonda: CPM state leader Julakanti Ranga Reddy fired salvos on government on formation farmer coordination committees with party affiliated members and said the method of selection was completely undemocratic.

On Thursday, he attended as chief guest to the party district committee and mandal-level secretaries meeting held at district office, chaired by party senior leader Anantha Rama Sharma.

Mocking the democracy, TRS leaders has been constituting farmer committees at their houses, he alleged, questioning the output of the programme without the representation of all sections of farming community. He advised the government to form worthwhile farmers committees with the consensus from all farmers of the village.

He urged the government to mount pressure on Karnataka government to release 40 tmcft Krishna water to Nagarjunasagar reservoir from Almatti Dam to cater to drinking needs of Nalgonda people.
