Officials told to take up works in Badepally Municipality
Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy directed the officials concerned to shift people of low lying areas before they are hit by cyclone. He also asked to take up development works in Badepally Municipality of Mahbubnagar district.
Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy directed the officials concerned to shift people of low lying areas before they are hit by cyclone. He also asked to take up development works in Badepally Municipality of Mahbubnagar district.
During a review meeting on cyclone and its effects, he asked officials to take necessary steps to clean the nalas, remove debris and keep a check to the possible outbreak of viral fevers. Stating that people of low lying areas should be alerted, he said should act swiftly and shift them to safer places besides providing them food and shelter.
He further added that Badepally Municipality will get a face lift as the government was ready to release Rs 14 crore for 196 works. The officials were told to take steps for providing basic amenities such as drinking water, drainage, street lights, roads and others. The officials should speed up the works, he added.
