Khammam: Congress Party Minority Cell district president Baba Tajuiddin alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was deceiving Muslim minorities by not fulfilling his promise of implementing 12 per cent reservation.

In this regard, the representatives of the Minority Cell launched a programme of collecting signatures from people demanding the government to implement 12 per cent reservations to Muslim minorities, in Khammam on Friday.

Addressing the representatives, Tajuiddin alleged that that Chief Minister was going back on his promise of implementing quota for the Muslims after he came to power.

“He is deceiving people by citing silly reasons that the Central government was not accepting the quota implementation for minorities.

Both the State and the Central governments have made an understanding with each other and are acting against the Muslim Minorities,” he criticised.

He further stated that the people were observing every move of the governments and would teach a befitting lesson if they failed to keep their promises.

Minority Cell representatives Md Fazal, Wadeer, Chota Baba, Gouse, Abdul Ahmed, Safuiddin, Bademiya, Mahamood, Zaheer, Shakeel, Ismail, Patan Sami and AITUC city president S K Pasha were present along with others.
