Khammam: The representatives of CPM party and T-Mass on Wednesday burnt an effigy of Central government protesting the incidents of attacks on Dalits that took place in Maharashtra on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, district convener of T-Mass Yerra Srikanth alleged that communal organisations such as Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) and Sangh Parivar with the support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were attacking Dalits besides discriminating them.

The BJP and its affiliated organisations RSS and Sangh Parivar while offering tributes to B R Ambedkar on one hand, were attacking people belonging to his caste and trying to deceive them on the other, he alleged.

“By following the ideology of Ambedkar, the governments must try to uplift people belonging to lower castes, he said, adding that if government remains mum on the issue, the CPM and T-Mass will take protests against the government and teach them a fitting lesson.

CPM and T-Mass leaders Y Srinivas Rao, S K Babu, M Satyam, Banothu Veerababu, P Naga Sulochana, B Srinivas, P Satyanarayana, S K Qasim, P Mahendra Chary, R Veerabhadram and S K Masthan were present along with others.
