Constable suspended for cheating woman in Khammam

​Khammam: Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal on Wednesday suspended police constable P Mallikarjuna Rao for allegedly cheating a woman under the guise of love.

According to Tafseer Iqbal, the constable P Mallikarjuna Rao, who was attached to the V M Bazaar Police Station under Kallur mandal, allegedly trapped a womn under the guise of love. The woman died after her pregnancy was aborted under duress.

The parents of the woman lodged a complaint in the local Two Town police station. The Police Commissioner ordered an inquiry into the episode by the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Following the report by the ACP, the Police Commissioner issued orders suspending the constable.
