MLC slams civic officials for failure to provide clean potable water
Municipal officials are playing with the lives of people by supplying polluted water, alleged Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy here on Thursday. The MLC along with the Carporator Nagandla Deepak Chowdhari inspected the Water Filter Bed at Dhanvaigudem from which the drinking water is supplied to the people in Khammam city.
Khammam: Municipal officials are playing with the lives of people by supplying polluted water, alleged Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy here on Thursday. The MLC along with the Carporator Nagandla Deepak Chowdhari inspected the Water Filter Bed at Dhanvaigudem from which the drinking water is supplied to the people in Khammam city.
Speaking on occasion, Sudhakar Reddy said, “We inspected the water filter bed after receiving the complaints from the people that they are getting polluted water and they are facing health hazard.” He said the surroundings of the water filter bed were not hygienic. The water filter too became corroded, he said.
Interacting with the officials at the water filter bed, MLC expressed his anger for not maintaining water filet bed neat and clean. Congress Party Youth leader Raparthi Sharath Kumar, Minority Cell Convenor Md. Fazal, Zaheer, Mekala Kranthi were present.
