Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu directed all the district officials to make arrangements for conducting Rythu Bandhu programme.

He participated in the Grievance Day programme here on Monday and received petitions from the people and distributed them to the officials concerned.

Later addressing the officials, he told them to gear up for conducting Rythu Bandhu programme, which will be held from May 10 to 17. He told the officials of other departments to cooperate with their counterparts of agriculture department and to conduct the programme from 7 am to 11 am and again from 4 pm to 6 pm, in the wake of scorching heat.

The officials were told to distribute input subsidy cheques to the farmers in every village. They were also directed to provide drinking water facility.

The Collector said the next Grievance Day, to be held on May 14, was cancelled keeping in view of Rythu Bandhu programme. He told the officials to clear the petitions received from the people during Grievance Day within one week.

Earlier, he reviewed drinking water problems, Swatchh Bharath drive and Rythu Bandhu arrangments in the district with the officials of departments.

Joint Collector M Ramkishan, DRO Kirankumar, DRDA Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, RDO Ravindernath, DPO Ashalatha and Assistant Director Agriculture Abhimanyudu and others attended the programme.
