Issue coupons to farmers: Kothagudem Collector
Make all arrangements for distributing cheques and pattadar passbooks to farmers under Rythu Bandhu scheme, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu directed tahsildars, agricultural, police and bank officials during a video conference here on Tuesday.
Kothagudem: Make all arrangements for distributing cheques and pattadar passbooks to farmers under Rythu Bandhu scheme, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu directed tahsildars, agricultural, police and bank officials during a video conference here on Tuesday.
He said the scheme will commence in the district on May 10 after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurates the scheme at Huzurabad mandal in Karimnagar district. The officials were directed to inform the villagers about the programme schedule two days before it commences. They were also told to invite public representatives and rythu co-ordination committee members for cheque distribution programme.
The Collector suggested to take the help of police department for the smooth running of the meetings in villages. A distributing point will be set up for every 300 farmers in villages. Hanumanthu appealed to the farmers to cooperate with the officials for the smooth conducting of the programme in all villages.
Agriculture officials were told to issue coupons to farmers before commencing cheque distribution to avoid confusion among the farmers. Joint Collector M Ramkishan, DRO Kiran Kumar, DRDA Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, RDO Ravindernath and others participated in the video conference.
