The Collector, along with Superintendent of Police Anantha Sharma, inspected the arrangements at Jagitial Fort where the State Formation Day celebrations would be held on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharath said elaborate arrangements were made for celebrating the Telangana Formation Day on a grand note here at Jagital Fort situated in the middle of the town.
Government Chief Whip Koppula Eshwar is going to attend the celebrations as the chief guest. Temporary tents are being arranged with drinking water facility for the convenience of the people who will attend the celebrations. The police will provide tight security to prevent any untoward incident.
Special seating arrangements were made for peoples’ representatives, people and media persons, said the Collector.
The Collector directed the officials to take all necessary steps for conducting the celebrations in a peaceful atmosphere and urged the people to cooperate with the officials for conducting the celebrations on a grand note.
Later, the Collector inspected the New Bus Stand Chowrastha where the Telangana Talli Statue is present for setting up temporary Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial and directed the officials to set up the memorial without creating any disturbance to the traffic.
Jagitial Rural Divisional Officer Dr G Narendar, Divisional Superintendents of Police’s Bhadraiah, Pratap, Jagitial Municipal Commissioner A Sampath Kumar and Jagitial Circle Inspector Prakash were present along with others.
