Bhadrachalam: Demanding hiking salaries of workers in the school department CITU leaders staged dharna at the Integrated Tribal Development Agency office on Thursday.
Addressing the protesters, the union leaders said that the government should hike the salaries of the contract workers who are discharging duties in the tribal schools and hostels. They also demanded the government to give facilities like accident insurance scheme and pay the salary according to the Supreme Court orders.
The protesters submitted representation to the Deputy Director Tribal Welfare Ch. Ram Murthy and discussed the issues. The leaders A.J Ramesh, Brahma Chary, Narsa Reddy, Mangamma, Kousalya, Heeralal,Padma and others participated in the programme.
