Vijayawada: The city police constable, Motukuri Tulasi Chaitanya, has been selected for the World Police Games which will be held at Belfast in Ireland soon.
Tulasi Chaitanya bagged two gold and three bronze medals in All India Police Aquatic Meet which was held at Guwahati of Assam recently. Tulasi Chaitanya achieved two gold medals in 50 meters, 100 meters free style swimming and three bronze medals in 200 meters free style and 100 and 200 meters back stroke.
He joined the Police Department in 2012 and his father Ramakrishna Rao has also been working in Krishnalanka Police Station as a constable.A On the occasion, Tulasi Chaitanya was felicitated at Police Commissionarate office here on Thursday.
District Collector M Buddhaprakash Jyothi, Vijayawada Police Commissioner N Madhusudhan Reddy, Deputy Commissioner M Ravi Prakash and others were present at the felicitation function and congratulated Tulasi Chaitanya for being selected to take part in World Police Games. They promised to extend all the needed support to Tulasi Chaitanya.
