Vijayawada: Former legislator and the YSR Congress leader Adusumilli Jayaprakash here on Thursday asked the Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw the pro-Telangana letter given to the UPA government. In an open letter, Jayaprakash asked the TD chief to withdraw the letter, extend support to the Samaikyandhra agitation before he returned to the second phase of his bus yatra. He said that Naidu had cut short his yatra due to the protests by the Samaikyandhra activists who have questioned him at different places in Krishna district. He said besides protests from Samaikyandhra activists, there were no people to listen to him during the bus yatra.
He took strong exception to the threats issued by Chandrababu Naidu at the slogan shouting Seemandhra activists and demanded that the TD chief tender an apology. He also asked the Seemandhra activists to question Chandrababu Naidu on his remarks.
He took a dig at Chandrababu Naidu for his speeches during the bus yatra and wanted to know what the TD chief wanted to tell the agitating Seemandhra people. “He did not speak about Samaikyandhra. He did not even make an attempt to convince people on the division of the State. He spent most of his time on blaming the other parties,” Jayaprakash said.
