Kurnool : Minister for Minor Irrigation T G Venkatesh commended the efforts of headmasters of high schools for securing the 7th place in the state from the last year's 21st place in achieving the best results in SSC examinations. He was addressing a meeting got up to compliment the 115 headmasters and students who achieved 10/10 GPA in the SSC exams.
MLC Sudhakar Babu, Panyam MLA Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, District Collector C Sudarsan Reddy, Joint Collector Kanna Babu, Addl Joint Collector Rama Swamy, DEO Nageswara Rao, PO of RVM Padmakumari, DD of Social Welfare Department Nageswara Rao, District Tribal Welfare Officer Giridhar, DP CEO Suryaprakash, Dy DEO Kattamanchi Ramalinga Reddy were present.
The minister also complimented the district collector and officials of education department for the great feat. "The officials should strive more to achieve hundred per cent results in all the backward districts of Rayalaseema," he added.A The minister said that all schools in the city were being provided with latrines, furniture, drinking water and the programme would be completed this year.
The minister complimented the district collector for striving to build bathrooms in 900 zilla parishad high schools, toilets and drinking water facility in 600 schools in the district.A MLC Sudhakar Babu hoped that the parents would join their wards in the government schools after observing the results. He appealed to the teachers to strive to achieve 100 per cent results next year.
Panyam MLA Rambhupal Reddy appealed to the minister to provide facilities to the schools of Panyam city also. The district collector said that 92 per cent results in the SSC exam was achieved due to the personal supervision of teachers. He said that the hostel wardens had also worked hard to train the students to achieve good results. "Nineteen students of hostels achieved 10/10 GPA this year," he said.
The Minister later felicitated the headmasters of 115 high schools.A Officials of all departments, parents of the students also participated in the meeting.
