Invoking arguments over a fourth person, Kamaal Khan in the car involved in the hit and run case, Salman Khan's lawyer Amit Desai battled out in the Bombay High Court today.

Stating that Kamaal Khan was in the original list of witnesses but the prosecution dropped his name mysteriously, Mr Desai argued over the tyre burst which led to the accident and the testimony of Ravindra Patil a key witness in the case is an unwilling witness. Bombay High Court has suspended the sentence of Salman Khan and has granted regular bail. Hence the actor will not go to jail for now.

On Wednesday the actor was found guilty and sentenced to five years in imprisonment in the September 2002 accident case in Bandra where one person killed and four others injured. The actor moved to Bombay High Court shortly after the verdict where two-day interim bail was granted on medical grounds.
