Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao on Sunday addressed a round-table conference organised at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Hyderabad which witnessed former judges and ex-chief secretaries from the state including Justices P Lakshmana Reddy, V Eshwaraiah, Seshasayana Reddy, G Krishnamohana Reddy and ex-chief secretary Ajeya Kallam in attendance.

Speaking at the conference, he demanded the new High Court of Andhra Pradesh be set up in the state's Rayalaseema region citing that the region is being neglected since all the developments are being centred around Amaravati.

Pointing out that the AP government was focusing on the development in the Amaravati capital region, Mr Rao urged those who gathered at the conference to demand separate development boards to be constituted for the Rayalaseema region.

Speaking to the reporters, Jana Chaitanya Vedika president Lakshman Reddy said that they decided to send letters to President, Prime Minister, Supreme Court Chief Justice, AP Governor and AP Chief Minister, requesting them to set up High Court in Rayalaseema.
