Telangana: EC to publish revised electoral rolls tomorrow
The Election Commission of India will publish the revised voter list tomorrow ie, October 12 following the orders of Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday
The Election Commission of India will publish the revised voter list tomorrow i.e, October 12 following the orders of Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday.
While directing the EC to release the revised electoral rolls, it also stated that any objections on revised voter list can be raised.
A bench comprising of Chief Justice TBN Radhakrishnan and Justice SV Bhatt directed the election commission to submit an affidavit with a detailed report on the modality of date scheduled for rectification and updating of voters list.
On the other hand, the EC also stated any objections in the new voter list can be updated till 3 pm November 19.
It may be recalled two PIL petitions were filed in the HC regarding the discrepancies in the voter list. The court on Wednesday completed the hearing of one plea while it adjourned the petition filed by Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy to October 12.
