Tension prevailed in Serilingampally after TDP leaders staged a protest at the polling booth as the returning officer did not allow a leader to cast his vote.
It is learned a person called Srinivasa Rao signed at the TDP leader Bhanuprasad's name following which he was denied to cast his vote. Meanwhile, the TDP leaders staged a protest demanding Bhanuprasad's entry into the polling booth.
The police at the spot are pacifying them and trying to bring the situation under control.
