Actor Prabhas on Wednesday filed a petition in High Court alleging that the officials are trying to deprive his land. He also termed their move as unlawful as no notice was issued to him.

Meanwhile, Prabhas' counsel Rubaina S Khatoon said that the actor had purchased the land from B Vaishnavi Reddy in October 2005 and B Shanshank Reddy in April 2006. The advocate also said that Prabhas had regularised his land under land regularisation scheme introduced in 2012 by the then Andhra Pradesh government adding that the actor also applied for the regularisation of land in 2015 after the state bifurcation in 2014 by paying Rs 1.5 crore as a requisite fee, which is still pending.

She also produced the documents pertaining to the regularisation to the court and also claimed that Prabhas has been paying the property tax and electricity bills regularly.

The revenue officials have seized several plots known as Paiga lands in Raidurgam mandal of Serilingampally claiming they are government property.
